The relationship between music and animation is one of the most unexplored areas of musicology and cinematographic research in general. Particularly the symbiosis between Cuban animated cinema and the music that has accompanied it throughout the last 60 years, lacks in-depth investigative works that can assess it, taking into account the quality and quantity of composers who have contributed in this area of cinema in the island. This article aims to analyze the music composed for the cartoon Una historia feliz (2009) by the director Mario Rivas Monzón (Villa Clara, 1939).
